Here are a few examples of projects I've been involved with recently.
Client | Method | Role |
Exxon.com | Custom | Sole Front-end dev |
T-Mobile Jobs | Custom | 2 Developer Team |
Nike | CMS | Partial |
Verizon | Custom | 1 of Main Devs |
Motorola Careers | Custom | Main Developer |
Walmart | Custom | 1 of Main Devs |
Below you can see details that pertain to the creation of each of these sites.
Factors
- The client DICTATES many of the features and technologies that will be used on a site
- Features and technologies are dependent on target audience and supported browsers
- Depending on freedom given I may be told to strictly/loosely adhere to designs given to me by Creative
- Project budget and scope limit site's polish (I'd love to use all modern technologies in each project however this can't always be done)
These factors affect the overall modernism of a site.
Process
- Project Manager sends over PDFs and PSD files for review
- We meet and discuss any limitations I foresee (usually problems pertaining to supported browsers)
- Depending on size or project time frame tasks are divided up amongst developers
- Each developer gathers assets and begins work (JavaScript plugins and cutting images from PSDs provided)
